Village Super Market is seeking a strategic, customer-focused Cheese Merchandising Manager to support cheese category performance across ShopRite, Fairway Market, Gourmet Garage, and affiliated operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a merchandising professional who combines strong analytical skills with a passion for specialty food retail and customer experience.

About the Role:

The Cheese Merchandising Manager partners closely with Merchandising, Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Store Leadership, and vendor partners to support category strategy, merchandising execution, promotional planning, assortment optimization, and customer engagement initiatives across multiple banners and store locations.

This role is ideal for experienced specialty food merchants, cheese department leaders, category managers, or fresh foods professionals looking to influence assortment strategy and merchandising execution within a highly dynamic retail environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Support merchandising strategy and assortment planning for the Cheese category across multiple retail banners
• Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and shrink performance to identify trends and support business recommendations
• Partner with store operations and merchandising teams to ensure strong execution, presentation, and merchandising consistency
• Support promotional planning, seasonal programs, pricing accuracy, and customer engagement initiatives
• Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
• Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising standards, inventory conditions, and operational opportunities
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to support sourcing, new item introductions, and assortment innovation
• Assist with merchandising guides, product education materials, and cross-functional specialty merchandising projects

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in grocery retail, specialty foods, merchandising, or category management
• Knowledge of cheese merchandising, specialty foods, or fresh department operations preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
• Passion for specialty foods, customer experience, and merchandising excellence

Experience in grocery retail, specialty food retail, fresh foods, or premium merchandising environments is highly valued.

Regular travel to store locations and vendor visits is required.

Base Salary: $90,932.00 - $118,460
